In the plastic moulding industry, do you often hear the expression 1*1 or 1+1, what do they mean?
The mold close, feeding the plastic material, and open, this is called ONE SHOT.
The productivity is calculated based on this shot, pieces of one shot, speed of a full cycle...
So 1*1 is close the mold for feeding the material, and open with the output for a total of 1 product, one shot makes ONE style of product, the number of this style is only 1 piece!
1+1 is close the mold for feeding the material, and open with the output for a total of 2 products,  ONE shot makes TWO styles of products , the number of each style is only 1 piece.
1*2 is the mold open with the output for a total of  2 products, ONE shot makes ONE style of product , the number of this style is 2 peices.
2+2 is the mold open with total of 4 products, ONE shot makes TWO styles of products, the number of each style is 2 peices
1+1+1+1 is the mold open with the output for a total of 4 products, ONE shot makes FOUR styles of products, the number of each style only 1 piece.
